Reconstruct usage policy
Last updated 30 July 2026. Reconstruct turns a short motion clip you own (or are authorized to process) into an editable project. It is a Pro feature during soft launch — a secondary tool, not the core product promise. Binding terms: Terms of Service §4.
Allowed
- —Motion graphics you created yourself
- —Client work you have rights to edit or reverse-engineer for delivery
- —Reference clips you own or have an explicit license to use for reconstruction
- —Templates and renders exported from keymotion.ai
Not allowed
- —Uploading arbitrary videos found online solely to clone someone else’s work
- —Reconstructing competitor product demos or marketing renders to copy their product
- —Copyrighted third-party content you do not have rights to process
- —Anything illegal, abusive, or that violates another person’s privacy
Attestation
Each upload requires you to confirm ownership or license on the Reconstruct page. Uploads without attestation are refused. You indemnify keymotion.ai for claims arising from your uploads and outputs (Terms §4).
How we talk about it
Marketing for Reconstruct focuses on recovering your motion into editable layers — not “rip any video on the internet.” If that line ever drifts, this page and the Terms win.
Enforcement
We log Reconstruct requests (content hash, time, entitlement) without retaining the video. We may refuse or disable Reconstruct for accounts that clearly abuse this policy. Rights holders: see copyright notices. You remain responsible for having the rights to any file you upload.
